A UK-returnee, who was put under isolation at a Sylhet hospital with coronavirus symptoms, died early today.
The woman, aged around 61, breathed her last around 3:30 am, said Civil Surgeon of Sylhet Promod Mondol.
She returned from London on March 3 and was suffering from fever, cough and breathing problems for the last 10 days, our Moulvibazar correspondent reports quoting the civil surgeon.
The deceased was admitted to the hospital on March 20 and was put in isolation as her condition deteriorated, he added.
A team of Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) was supposed to collect her blood sample today, the civil surgeon said.
