Two Bangladeshis have been killed in firing by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along the Lalmonirhat.
The incident took place at the Hatibandha border area on Wednesday.
The two were cattle traders identified at Md Suruj Mia, 17, and another Suruj Mia, 32, both from Hatibandha Upazila.
BSF members opened fire on eight to 10 cattle traders when they were coming from India. At the time one of them died on spot and another one died while receiving treatment at Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 15 Battalion Director Lt Col SM Touhidul Alam confirmed the matter.
“BGB has strongly condemned the killings and sent a letter to BSF for a flag meeting,” he said.
