Bangladesh’s Ministry of Home Affairs has extended the suspension on visa-on-arrival service till May 16 amid the growing number of Covid-19 cases in the country.
It was informed in the ‘Immigration and Visa Update Instructions on COVID-19 transmission Situation’ sent to the Additional Inspector General of Police of the Special Branch from the Security Services Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday
As per its earlier instructions, the on-arrival visa suspension was till May 7.
Bangladesh so far reported 206 death and 13,134 total cases till Friday.
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
